Milma’s Ernakulam Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (ERCMPU) has announced a 10% dividend for its members, determined at the recent general body meeting to allocate profits for the 2023-24 financial year. The cooperative societies across Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, and Idukki are set to receive a total of ₹1.48 crore from the ₹8 crore net profit. ERCMPU Chairman M.T. Jayan confirmed that these dividends would be distributed along with milk bills for October 1-10. The union achieved its profit through strategic measures including performance surcharges, farmers’ welfare programs, and financial grants, while also covering procurement costs and pursuing expansion projects.
