A viral image claiming to be Iran’s “execution list” has circulated widely on social media, suggesting a targeted assassination plan against top Israeli figures. The unverified list allegedly positions Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the top, followed by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, military commanders, and other high-ranking officials. This supposed “execution list” has created a stir, yet its authenticity remains in question.
The spread of this alleged hit list coincides with escalating tensions in the region. Israel is currently entangled in a multi-front conflict involving Hamas in Gaza and Iranian-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon. Following Hamas’ surprise attacks in October, Hezbollah has also engaged, trading daily fire with Israeli forces. This conflict marks the most significant violence since the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah.
In response, Israel has initiated targeted operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, with Israeli special forces conducting raids.
