Shocking Assault: Smugglers Brutally Attack Brave BSF Jawan at Bangladesh Border
A Border Security Force (BSF) head constable was seriously injured in West Tripura’s Kalsimura area during an early morning confrontation with suspected smugglers at the India-Bangladesh border on Friday. The incident occurred when the BSF personnel stopped the group from smuggling contraband items across the border. The smugglers attacked the jawan using sharp weapons and bamboo poles during a scuffle. In self-defense, the constable fired a round in the air when they attempted to seize his service rifle, prompting the group to flee. The injured BSF jawan was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment of head injuries. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed with the local police concerning the attack. The incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by security forces in combating smuggling activities along the international border.
