Revolutionary Next-Gen iPhone SE: Full Display, FaceID & AI Breakthroughs – What to Expect | Top Technology News
Apple Shifts Focus to Affordable iPhone SE, Prepares for Early 2025 Release
Following the launch of its iPhone 16 series last month, Apple is now turning its attention to a budget-friendly iPhone SE model, expected to debut early next year along with updated iPads, according to Bloomberg. Production for the next-generation iPhone SE, codenamed V59 internally, is slated to begin soon.
Significant design changes are anticipated for this new iPhone SE, moving away from the outdated iPhone 8 series design. Instead, the device will likely embrace an iPhone 14-inspired look, featuring an edge-to-edge display with minimal bezels and a notch, replacing the traditional home button.
The new iPhone SE is rumored to include a 6.06-inch OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Performance upgrades are expected as well, with the inclusion of Apple’s latest A18 chip and 8GB of RAM to support advanced Apple Intelligence features. To modernize the device further, a USB Type-C port is likely to replace the outdated Lightning connector.
In terms of photography, the iPhone SE will reportedly have a single 48MP camera on the back—an upgrade from the current 12MP sensor. A Face ID sensor may also be included alongside the front-facing camera, following the removal of the home button.
Additionally, Apple plans to launch new 11-inch and 13-inch iPads, along with an updated Magic Keyboard accessory, around the same time.
