Vivo, Apple, and Google Unveil Exciting Tech Advances
Chinese smartphone giant Vivo and its sub-brand iQOO have announced the rollout schedule for their FunTouchOS 15 UI, based on Android 15. Notably, the update will begin in October with the Vivo X Fold3 Pro and X100 series, though some users report it is already available for the Vivo X Fold3 Pro and iQOO 12 models.
Apple is reportedly gearing up for a major foray into the smart home market with the planned release of two innovative devices next year, as detailed in a Bloomberg report. These include a tabletop device with a robotic arm and display similar to an iPad, and a more affordable variant. Both devices are expected to utilize a new operating system, possibly named homeOS.
Google is enhancing its ecosystem integration with new noise control options for the Pixel Buds Pro 2 directly in the volume control menu on Android 15. As reported by 9To5Google, this update allows users to select noise cancellation modes for both Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds Pro 2.
Apple is also preparing to launch a new MacBook Pro featuring the M4 chip. According to 9To5Mac, leaked images of the M4 MacBook Pro’s packaging reveal critical details about the device. The launch is anticipated next month alongside a redesigned Mac mini, new iMac, and select iPads.
Vivo is notably the first smartphone brand to commence the Android 15 update rollout, with the FunTouchOS 15 now available for the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, according to Android Authority.
Lastly, Meta has introduced a prototype of its latest AR glasses, Orion, which resembles reading glasses and uses holographic projection to superimpose graphics into the user’s field of view.
