Shocking Drug Bust: CEO and Five Others Arrested in Major Pharmaceutical Scandal
The Crime Branch has successfully dismantled a Xanax manufacturing and supply operation in the Delhi-NCR region, leading to the arrest of six individuals, including a high-profile CEO. The arrested include Rajender Kumar Mishra, Ram Ashish Maurya, Deepak Kumar, and Mukesh Kumar, who were implicated in the drug supply chain, while factory owners Naveen Aggarwal and Anand Kumar were also detained.
Naveen Aggarwal, owner of Nutriley Pvt. Ltd. and Biocase Foods & Extracts Pvt. Ltd in Haryana, had garnered accolades including the Indian Achiever’s Award and ‘CEO of the Year’. Anand Kumar, who owns Sakshi Enterprises Ltd., was also involved in trading the illicit substance.
The operation was triggered on March 23 following a tip-off leading to the arrest of Rajender Kumar Mishra in Delhi’s Brijpuri. Authorities seized 18 kg of Alprazolam powder from him. Mishra revealed during interrogation that he obtained Alprazolam from Ram Ashish Maurya and delivered it to Anand Kumar. Subsequent raids ensued, resulting in the capture of Maurya and Anand, with ₹1 crore recovered from their residences.
Further investigations led to the arrest of Deepak Kumar, who confirmed the manufacture of Alprazolam at a facility owned by Aggarwal. Forensic searches of Aggarwal’s factory uncovered traces of Alprazolam powder, corroborating the operation’s illegal activities.
This crackdown underscores the police’s commitment to curbing the illegal drug trade in the region.
