The 7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah has marked a significant milestone with over 9.68 crore events conducted nationwide. This annual campaign, focused on nutrition and welfare, has reported impressive participation across various initiatives. Specifically, nearly 1.88 crore events centered on Anemia Prevention, 1.68 crore events on growth monitoring, and around 1.45 crore events dedicated to complementary feeding.
The “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” initiative, which integrates nutrition with education, witnessed participation in nearly 1.59 crore events. Further activities aimed at mass sensitization and environmental protection have also seen considerable involvement, reflecting the campaign’s holistic approach.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development highlighted that Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh have emerged as the top-performing states in this year’s Poshan Maah. This underscores their effective implementation and public engagement in promoting nutritional awareness and practices.
This national effort continues to play a pivotal role in addressing malnutrition and enhancing child welfare across India.
