Cyber Security Trends Seminar Highlights Emerging Technologies and Digital Safety

A comprehensive seminar on the latest trends in cyber security was jointly organized by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Hyderabad, and the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education (CCE), Andhra Pradesh. Held on September 23 in a hybrid format, this day-long event gathered principals, faculty, and students to discuss cutting-edge technologies and their substantial impact on various industries.

APCCE Commissioner Pola Bhaskar presided over the seminar, with a keynote address delivered by Bhuvnesh Kumar, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, New Delhi. The aim was to explore how emerging technologies shape the future, foster innovation, and tackle challenges such as security, ethics, and implementation strategies.

Speakers concentrated on the importance of protecting data and systems from cyber threats, highlighting recent trends in cyber threats and the critical need to secure digital infrastructure. They also discussed the transformative potentials of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML). Additionally, the utility of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) in creating immersive educational environments was emphasized.

The seminar stressed the necessity for individuals to acquire the knowledge and skills to use digital tools safely and effectively in an ever-evolving digital landscape. According to a press release, the APCCE plans to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with C-DAC to further enhance future collaborations.
