World Food India 2024: A Showcase of Innovation and Global Collaboration in Food Processing Concludes
The four-day mega event World Food India 2024 concluded today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, having commenced on September 19. The event saw the participation of delegations from around 90 countries, 26 states and Union Territories, and 18 Central Ministries and affiliated government bodies. This third edition of World Food India underscored India’s ascending role as a global leader in the food processing industry, focusing on convergence between innovation, technology, and sustainability.
The event featured over 40 knowledge sessions, including thematic discussions as well as state and country-specific conferences. Notably, Japan served as the partner country, while Vietnam and Iran were the focus countries for this edition. One of the event’s key highlights was a CEO Round Table conference on the first day, chaired by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan. This conference aimed to bridge the gap between industry and government, addressing and resolving prevailing issues.
Additionally, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hosted the second edition of the Global Food Regulators Summit concurrently with World Food India, further emphasizing the event’s comprehensive approach to advancing the food processing sector.
