In an effort to boost voter turnout for the forthcoming Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K, has introduced a new theme song titled ‘Vote Ka Tyohar.’ The song was unveiled by CEO P. K. Pole and is designed to inspire residents across the Union Territory to participate in the electoral process, which will occur in three phases starting on September 18, 2024. These phases will cover seven districts in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
‘Vote Ka Tyohar’ was produced by Rangyug, a prominent performing arts organization known for promoting social change and self-realization through theatre. This initiative is part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Campaign, aimed at educating and encouraging citizens to vote.
