Gold and Silver Prices Update: Dip in Early Monday Trade
The price of 24-carat gold dipped by Rs 10 in early trade on Monday, with ten grams trading at Rs 74,880, according to the GoodReturns website. Similarly, 22-carat gold also fell by Rs 10, with ten grams being priced at Rs 68,640. These rates align with those in Kolkata and Hyderabad.
In contrast, gold prices in Delhi, Bangalore, and Chennai for ten grams of 24-carat gold are at Rs 75,030, Rs 74,880, and Rs 74,880, respectively. For 22-carat gold, the same quantity is priced at Rs 68,790 in Delhi, and Rs 68,640 in both Bangalore and Chennai.
Silver prices have also seen a decline. One kilogram of silver is now selling at Rs 91,900 in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. However, in Chennai, the price is higher at Rs 96,900.
On the international front, gold prices in the US saw a minor increase on Monday, buoyed by a weaker dollar and expectations of a more aggressive interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve. Spot gold edged up 0.2% to $2,580.81 per ounce. Meanwhile, spot silver increased 0.8% to $30.89 per ounce. Platinum decreased by 0.2% to $993.40, and palladium fell 0.3% to $1,065.78.
These price movements come amid fluctuations influenced by various economic indicators and market expectations.
