Nara Lokesh and MP Kalisetti Appala Naidu Act to Rescue Stranded Kedarnath Pilgrims
Nara Lokesh, Information Technology Minister, and Vizianagaram Parliament Member Kalisetti Appala Naidu have instructed the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi to take immediate action to rescue devotees from Vizianagaram district stranded in Kedarnath. These pilgrims had traveled to the temple in August through a private agency but encountered severe weather conditions, prompting them to seek help from their families back home.
In response, Mr. Lokesh and Mr. Appala Naidu have vowed to coordinate with central government officials and the Uttarakhand government to ensure the safe return of the stranded devotees. Efforts to airlift the pilgrims are currently underway, with Mr. Appala Naidu confirming ongoing communication with relevant authorities.
