Breaking News: Shockwaves as Top IAS Officers Uprooted in Major Statewide Reshuffle
The Arunachal Pradesh government has enacted a substantial administrative reshuffle, involving the transfer of seven senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to various locations outside the state. Among the prominent transfers, Planning Secretary Rajendra Kumar Sharma has been reassigned to Goa, while Tourism, Civil Aviation & Vigilance Secretary Swapnil M Naik has been posted to Chandigarh.
Additionally, Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) Secretary D Verma and East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Sachin Rana have both been relocated to Delhi. Land Management Secretary Audesh Kumar Singh will accompany Sharma in Goa, and SD Sundaresan has been transferred to Puducherry.
A significant return includes Gaurav Singh Rajawat, former East Kameng Deputy Commissioner, who was previously assigned to Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, now back in Arunachal Pradesh. This reshuffle also impacts some junior officers, notably Sonalika Jiwani and Patil Pranjal from the 2017 AGMUT batch, who have been reassigned within the state.
In conjunction with these IAS officer transfers, several senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have also been reassigned to Arunachal Pradesh. This includes IGPs Tusar Taba, Hibu Tamang, and PN Khrimey, along with Mangesh Kashyap (2009 batch), Dr Joy Nathaniel Tirkey (2011 batch), and Suman Nalwa (2011 batch).
The comprehensive administrative realignment reflects the state’s ongoing efforts to optimize its governance and administrative efficiency.
