Sonos Debuts in India with Sonos Ace Headphones

US-based audio device manufacturer Sonos has launched its Sonos Ace headphones in India, marking the company’s entry into the personal listening market. Priced at Rs 39,999, the over-the-ear headphones are available in select retail outlets across the country in two color options: Black and Soft White.
The Sonos Ace offers cutting-edge features including support for lossless and spatial audio, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and an Aware Mode that permits ambient sound. "Sonos Ace leverages everything we’ve learned over two decades as an audio leader to bring stunning sound, sleek design, and long-lasting comfort to one of the largest and most popular audio categories worldwide," says Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos.
The headphones sport a sleek design with a blend of metallic accents and a matte finish. Inside the ear cups, contrasting colors help indicate correct placement. For convenience, the headphones can be folded flat and stored in a lightweight travel case. Constructed from premium materials, the ear cushions are made of memory foam wrapped in vegan leather and are replaceable.
Performance-wise, the Sonos Ace boasts dual custom drivers that ensure precise and clear audio delivery across frequencies. It supports Dolby Atmos for spatial audio and features dynamic head tracking for an immersive sound experience. Additionally, the headphones can seamlessly switch TV audio to Sonos soundbars. Later this year, Sonos will introduce TrueCinema technology to enhance surround sound by mapping the user’s environment.
