Gold and Silver Prices: Key Updates for Major Indian Cities
As of Wednesday morning, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold experienced a small dip, priced at Rs 72,830, reflecting a Rs 10 decrease in early trade, according to GoodReturns. Meanwhile, silver prices saw an increase of Rs 100 per kilogram, currently selling at Rs 86,100.
In Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, the price of 24-carat gold per 10 grams stood at Rs 72,980, Rs 72,830, and Rs 72,830 respectively. For 22-carat gold, the prices in these cities were Rs 66,910, Rs 66,760, and Rs 66,760 per 10 grams.
Mumbai’s 24-carat gold price matched those in Kolkata and Hyderabad at Rs 72,830 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold in these cities is priced at Rs 66,760.
The price for one kilogram of silver in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai remains consistent at Rs 86,100, while in Chennai, it’s slightly higher at Rs 91,100.
Globally, gold prices remained stable as investors anticipate key US inflation data that could signal future Federal Reserve interest rate decisions. Spot gold edged up by 0.1% to $2,517.80 per ounce, and US gold futures increased to $2,546.50. Traders are closely watching the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index readings, alongside initial jobless claims data.
Spot silver remained flat at $28.38 per ounce, while platinum rose by 0.3% to $940.35, and palladium increased by 0.83% to $973.16.
