Guwahati Police Vows Unyielding Enforcement for ADRE 2024: Ensuring Fair and Just Exams
In a decisive effort to maintain the integrity of the upcoming Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) 2024, Guwahati Police has implemented stringent prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. The directive, issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) Imdad Ali, aims to thwart unauthorized access and enhance transparency.
The order restricts the entry of any unauthorized individuals within a 100-meter radius of the examination centers. Only candidates with valid ADRE admit cards, authorized scribes for persons with disabilities, examination officials such as invigilators and heads of institutions, police personnel on duty, and designated personnel from the District Commissioner’s office and the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) are permitted to enter.
The ADRE, conducted by SEBA on behalf of the Commission, is slated for September 15, September 29, and October 27, 2024. These written examinations are scheduled across 324 centers within the Kamrup Metropolitan Police Commissionerate, accommodating approximately 4.5 lakh candidates in Guwahati alone.
This security measure is a strategic initiative to eliminate malpractices and ensure a fair examination process for candidates vying for Grade III and IV posts. The prohibitory order highlights the critical importance of preserving the sanctity of this high-stakes examination and underscores the authorities’ commitment to transparency and order.
