Thrilling Diplomatic Milestone: Dr. S Jaishankar Graces Saudi Arabia for Pivotal India-GCC Foreign Ministers’ Summit
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar arrived in Riyadh to participate in the First India-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. During his two-day visit, he is slated to hold bilateral talks with Foreign Ministers from GCC member countries. Upon arrival, Dr. Jaishankar explored key cultural sites in Riyadh, underscoring the historical ties between India and Saudi Arabia.
Following Riyadh, Dr. Jaishankar will travel to Berlin, Germany, where he will engage with German Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, top leadership, and other ministers. His objective is to review and enhance the comprehensive bilateral relations between India and Germany.
Next, Dr. Jaishankar will proceed to Geneva, Switzerland, on the 12th. In Geneva, he will meet with heads and representatives of various international organizations with which India maintains active engagement. Additionally, he will confer with the Swiss Foreign Minister, aiming to strengthen and expand the partnership between India and Switzerland.
Dr. Jaishankar’s diplomatic tour emphasizes India’s commitment to fostering stronger international relations and collaboration in the Gulf region, Europe, and with global organizations.
