Outrage Over Expired Food On Akasa Air Gorakhpur-Bengaluru Flight: Airline’s Immediate Response
Airlines Face Scrutiny Over Passenger Complaints: Expired Food and Cabin Temperature Issues
An Akasa Air passenger on a Gorakhpur-Bengaluru flight recently complained about being served expired food packets, PTI reported on Sunday. The airline acknowledged the issue, confirming that several passengers were "inadvertently served refreshments that did not meet quality standards.” Akasa Air has launched a detailed investigation and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused. The incident came to public attention through a social media post by the affected passenger. Akasa Air’s statement emphasized their commitment to addressing the issue and preventing future occurrences. "Upon preliminary investigation, it was found that a few passengers were inadvertently served refreshments that did not meet our quality standards,” the airline said. They added that they are in contact with the concerned passenger and are conducting a thorough investigation.
In a separate incident involving IndiGo Airlines, passengers on a Delhi-Varanasi flight experienced discomfort due to alleged air conditioning issues. A video surfaced showing passengers in visible distress, with some reportedly fainting from intense heat and suffocation. IndiGo apologized for the inconvenience but denied any AC malfunction, attributing the discomfort to cabin temperature fluctuations adjusted in response to passenger requests. "Our cabin crew promptly extended assistance to the affected passenger to address the situation,” IndiGo stated.
Both airlines have received backlash, prompting swift responses and promises of further investigation to ensure passenger safety and comfort are maintained.
