Empowered Telangana Rallies Behind BJP: Kishan Reddy Ignites Hope and Unity
Telangana State BJP President and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, alongside senior leaders, participated in the party’s membership drive in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Reddy highlighted Telangana’s growing support for the BJP, evidenced by the party securing over 36% of the vote in the recent Parliament elections, translating into eight MP seats. He attributed this success to the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
During the launch, Reddy emphasized the BJP’s unique practice of renewing memberships every three years at all levels, including the Prime Minister and the national president. He rejected the idea of offering insurance to members, unlike other parties, stressing that BJP members join voluntarily out of ideological commitment. He called for each active member to enroll 100 new members, starting at the booth level.
Reflecting on the party’s evolution from its Jan Sangh days to its current status under former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s leadership, Reddy noted the BJP’s consistent growth. National General Secretary Arvind Menon praised the sacrifices made by party members against anti-national and terror elements, asserting the BJP’s stance against inducements and emphasizing a collective effort to transform India into a developed nation as per the Prime Minister’s vision.
Rajya Sabha MP and National OBC Morcha President K. Laxman reiterated the party’s motto of “nation first, party next, and self last,” contrasting it with dynasty-based parties focused on family interests.
