"Tragic Collision in Uttar Pradesh: Roadways Bus Crash Leaves 12 Dead, 16 Injured in Heartbreaking Accident"
At least 12 people, including four children, lost their lives in a tragic road accident today in Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh. The District Magistrate informed Aakashvani that the collision occurred near Meetai village in the Chandpa police station area on NH-93. A roadways bus crashed head-on with a Tata Magic vehicle, resulting in the fatalities and injuring 16 others. Four of the injured are critically wounded and have been transferred to a hospital in Aligarh, while the rest are receiving treatment at the district hospital.
In response to the incident, President Droupadi Murmu expressed her condolences to the victims’ families. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs. 50,000 for each injured person from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and directed officials to provide all necessary assistance to the injured.
