Air Marshal Tejinder Singh Assumes Duty as Deputy Chief of Air Staff
New Delhi: Air Marshal Tejinder Singh officially assumed the role of Deputy Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force today. Following his appointment, he honored the fallen heroes by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial, reflecting on the supreme sacrifices made by the nation’s bravehearts.
A distinguished alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Air Marshal Tejinder was commissioned into the fighter stream of the IAF on June 13, 1987. His exemplary career is marked by over 4,500 hours of flying, earning him the status of a Category ‘A’ Qualified Flying Instructor. He also holds alumni status from both the Defence Service Staff College and the National Defence College.
Throughout his service, Air Marshal Tejinder has held several pivotal positions, including commanding a Fighter Squadron, a Radar Station, and a premier Fighter Base. He also served as the Air Officer Commanding in Jammu and Kashmir. His excellence in service has been recognized with prestigious awards, namely the Vayu Sena Medal in 2007 and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2022.
Air Marshal Tejinder Singh’s extensive experience and decorated career are set to bring enhanced leadership to the Indian Air Force in his new role as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff.
