Tragic Accident Claims Life of 10-Year-Old Girl, Injures Mother and Brother in Habsiguda
In a heart-wrenching incident on Thursday evening, a 10-year-old girl named Kameshwari lost her life after a road mishap in Habsiguda, while her mother, Santoshi, and younger brother, Vedansh, sustained injuries. The tragedy occurred as they were returning home from Johnson Grammar School.
According to the Osmania University police, the family was on their way to Tarnaka on a two-wheeler when a lorry attempting to overtake hit the vehicle’s handlebar. The impact caused Kameshwari, who was riding pillion, to fall off and get crushed under the left rear wheel of the lorry. The police have detained the lorry driver and seized the vehicle.
"Both Kameshwari and Vedansh were students at the same school in Habsiguda. Their mother had picked them up as usual on Thursday," stated the police. Prompt action was taken by the authorities, who rushed the injured mother and son to a nearby hospital for treatment.
This tragic accident has cast a pall of gloom over the community, emphasizing the dire need for stricter road safety measures. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
