Shocking Tragedy: Husband’s Rage Ends in Wife’s Murder Over Domestic Dispute
Domestic Dispute Over Festival Attire Turns Tragic: Woman Murdered in Dobbaspet
A domestic dispute escalated to a tragic end in Dobbaspet, Nelamangala, on Monday evening, when a factory worker allegedly murdered his wife and subsequently set her body on fire. The victim, identified as 27-year-old S. Kavya, was found dead by her sister Ramya, who grew concerned after numerous unreturned calls.
Upon arriving at Kavya’s residence, Ramya noticed the main door ajar and a foul odor emanating from inside. Her investigation led her to the bathroom, where she discovered Kavya’s half-charred body. She immediately contacted the Dobbaspet police.
Following a complaint from Kavya’s parents, authorities apprehended her husband, Shivananda. He was found hiding at a relative’s house in the same locality. Preliminary police investigations indicate that the couple had been embroiled in frequent arguments, culminating in Kavya temporarily moving back to her parents’ home in early July. After intervention from senior family members, she returned to Shivananda just four days prior to the tragic incident, while their children stayed with grandparents in Madanayakanahalli.
The final dispute occurred on Monday morning when Shivananda allegedly failed to purchase a new sari and other items Kavya had requested for the recently concluded VaraMahalakshmi festival. Distraught, Kavya reportedly informed her mother of her intent to return to her parents’ home due to the continuous arguments. This altercation seemingly led to the catastrophic event later that evening.
The Dobbaspet police continue to investigate the case, seeking to uncover further details of the dynamics that led to this reprehensible act.
This tragic episode sheds light on the severe consequences of domestic disputes, urging more robust interventions and support for those in turbulent marital relationships.
