Manipur Congress Chief Condemns Centre’s Inaction Amid State Crisis: Urgent Call for a Concrete Roadmap
Manipur Congress President Keisham Meghachandra has raised alarm over the ongoing crisis in the state ahead of a crucial party meeting. Addressing the media, Meghachandra stressed the urgency of the situation, criticizing both the state and central governments for their perceived lack of commitment to resolving Manipur’s issues.
“The crisis in Manipur persists, and it is evident that neither the state government nor the central administration is treating this issue with the seriousness it demands,” Meghachandra stated. He pointed to a recent Assembly session that, according to him, failed to address the pressing concerns raised by Opposition MLAs adequately. “Yesterday, our Assembly session concluded, but the questions and issues raised by the Opposition were met with indifference. This is unacceptable,” he added.
Meghachandra’s remarks come amid growing frustration within the Congress ranks over what is seen as government inaction. He called for a concrete roadmap to tackle Manipur’s escalating challenges, underscoring the need for immediate and effective measures.
The Congress leader’s comments highlight a critical juncture for the state, as tensions and issues continue to mount. With the party meeting imminent, the focus is now on how the Congress plans to address and possibly mitigate the crisis, urging the government to act with greater urgency and seriousness.
