Fiery Clash: Kangana Ranaut Brands Rahul Gandhi ‘Most Dangerous’ Over Explosive Hindenburg Remark
NATIONAL, News Alert
Delhi, Aug 12: BJP MP Kangana Ranaut launched a fierce attack on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his endorsement of Hindenburg Research’s report on SEBI Chief Madhabi Puri Buch. Ranaut labeled Gandhi as the "most dangerous man," accusing him of trying to destabilize the nation and its economy out of bitterness for not securing the Prime Minister’s chair.
In a social media post on platform X, the BJP MP from Mandi criticized Gandhi’s alignment with what she termed as a "malicious" report against the SEBI chief, Madhabi Puri Buch. The report by US-based Hindenburg Research accused Buch of misconduct, allegations she has dismissed as "baseless."
"The Hindenburg report, despite being touted as a significant revelation, proved to be inconsequential. Yet, Rahul Gandhi seizes every opportunity to destabilize the nation," Ranaut asserted in her post. She further taunted Gandhi, suggesting he should be prepared to remain in the opposition indefinitely as he will never be a leader.
Meanwhile, in a video message on Sunday, Rahul Gandhi demanded the Prime Minister announce a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the serious allegations against the SEBI chief. Gandhi questioned why Puri Buch had not resigned following the report and held both the SEBI chairman and the Prime Minister accountable for the potential financial losses to lakhs of investors.
"As Leader of the Opposition, it’s my duty to highlight the risk posed to the Indian stock market due to compromised institutions. Why hasn’t SEBI chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch resigned yet?" Gandhi questioned in his video message.
The ongoing exchange underscores the intense political friction surrounding the Hindenburg report and its implications for India’s financial oversight.
