Empowering Unity: Indian Army, ITBP, and Assam Rifles Forge Stronger Bonds at Sigar Military Station in Arunachal’s East Siang District
In a significant move to bolster regional security and operational effectiveness, the Indian Army’s Spear Corps, in collaboration with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Assam Rifles, organized an integrated training camp at Sigar Military Station. Conducted from July 18 to August 3, 2024, the initiative sought to enhance the coordination and collective operational capabilities of these forces.
The rigorous training program included participation from thirteen Indian Army units, sixteen ITBP regiments, and five Assam Rifles units. A central aspect of the exercise was mastering the direction and execution of artillery fire, a crucial competency in contemporary military operations. The deployment of advanced training simulators provided participants with a realistic and comprehensive shooting experience, thereby elevating their readiness for real-world scenarios.
An official from Sigar Military Station emphasized the training’s significance, noting that sessions covered various facets of artillery firing along with rapid response drills. This joint exercise reflects the unwavering commitment of the Indian Army, ITBP, and Assam Rifles toward improving interoperability and reinforcing their unified defense posture in the region.
