Transform Your Business Journey: Government’s Breakthrough Support for Hassle-Free Incorporation and Exit
Centre Accelerates Corporate Processes Under Ease of Doing Business Initiative: Union Minister Harsh Malhotra
New Delhi: The Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, Harsh Malhotra, announced significant enhancements in corporate operational procedures under the Ease of Doing Business initiatives. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Malhotra highlighted that the Centre has streamlined both company incorporation and exit processes, drastically reducing the time required.
Under the new measures, company incorporations are now completed within one to two days, a substantial improvement from the previous 15 to 16 days. The initiatives, overseen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, ensure that essential permissions, including PAN and TAN allocation, EPFO, ESIC, and account opening, are finalized in just one to two days.
Furthermore, the Minister indicated that the exit or strike-off process for companies has been expedited significantly. What previously took 2 to 3 years now concludes within 80 days, providing a much more efficient system for businesses opting to exit. Companies choosing this option are also exempt from filing financial information and Annual Returns for the current year.
Malhotra emphasized that these advancements are part of the Modi-led administration’s ongoing commitment to fostering a more business-friendly environment in India. The streamlined procedures are aimed at reducing bureaucratic delays and facilitating a smoother operational framework for companies.
These reforms represent a critical step in enhancing India’s global business competitiveness and are expected to contribute to the country’s economic growth by making it easier for both domestic and international companies to operate.
