Shocking Surge in Murders Under DMK Rule: BJP Tamil Nadu Chief Annamalai Sounds Alarm
BJP President K. Annamalai Criticizes DMK Government Over Rising Murders in Tamil Nadu
BJP State president K. Annamalai has voiced strong concerns over what he claims is a surge in murders across Tamil Nadu since the DMK came to power. In a social media post dated August 3, Annamalai expressed his dismay following the murder of Udhayakumar, an advocate, in Coimbatore on August 2.
Annamalai stated, "Murders have become common in Tamil Nadu since DMK took office. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, despite pledging to uphold law and order, appears to have made no meaningful efforts in this regard. Disturbingly, some Ministers are attempting to normalize these heinous acts, which is wholly unacceptable."
He further emphasized the growing sense of insecurity in the state, highlighting that not only politicians and advocates but also ordinary citizens are feeling threatened. Annamalai criticized the police, accusing them of being preoccupied with targeting critics of the DMK government on social media rather than focusing on maintaining law and order.
The BJP leader’s remarks come at a time when the state’s law enforcement agencies are under scrutiny, raising serious questions about the effectiveness of the DMK administration in ensuring the safety of its residents.
