Serving as Assam Rifles DG for the past three years, Lt Gen Nair’s military career spans 38 years and seven months, with his retirement slated for July 31. He underscored Assam Rifles’ pivotal role in safeguarding frontiers in the northeast and Jammu & Kashmir, efficiently handling diverse security challenges.

He emphasized their efforts towards veteran welfare, noting the establishment of Veterans Day on March 23 to honor their valiant contributions.
