Heavily impacted districts include Dhubri, Cachar, Golaghat, and Nagaon, among others. Dhubri is the worst-hit, with 3,18,326 people affected.
While water levels of many rivers are receding, the Brahmaputra River still exceeds danger levels at Neamatighat, Tezpur, and Dhubri. Additionally, rivers like Burhidihing, Disang, and Kushiyara continue to overflow.
Relief efforts are ongoing, with over 2.95 lakh people taking refuge in 316 relief camps across flood-affected areas. The floods have not only displaced humans but also impacted 6,67,175 animals. In Kaziranga National Park, 180 wild animals, including 10 rhinos, have perished, while 135 animals, including two rhino calves and two elephant calves, have been rescued. Notably, 35 forest camps within the park remain submerged.
The ASDMA continues to closely monitor the situation, ensuring relief and rescue operations are executed efficiently.
