Despite these controversies, Robinson receives regular praise from Republican circles, particularly from former President Donald Trump, who recently compared him to Martin Luther King Jr. and endorsed him at a campaign rally. Robinson also spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in mid-July. Trump plans to return to North Carolina for another rally focusing on jobs, inflation, and the economy.
