The Election Commission of India (ECI) has designated Expenditure Observers for the 23 constituencies within Puducherry district, tasked with meticulously monitoring the financial activities of candidates in relation to the upcoming Assembly elections on April 9. These observers will scrutinize both daily expenses and bank transactions to ensure fair electoral practices.

The appointed observers will be stationed at Hotel Surguru, located at 104, Sardar Vallabhai Patel Salai, Heritage Town, to facilitate candidate interactions. Their schedule is structured to ensure ample availability for reporting and inquiries.

Naresh G. will oversee the constituencies of Muthialpet and Raj Bhavan, accessible from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Vibhor Badoni will monitor Kathirkamam and Indira Nagar, also between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Kishor S. will take on the responsibility for Nellithope and Mudaliarpet during the same time slot. The observers for Thattanchavady and Kamaraj Nagar, Palash Bhoyar, will be present from 11 a.m. to noon.

Seema Dhankhar is set to oversee Villianur and Ozhukarai from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., while Gopi Donthireddy will focus on Ariankuppam and Manavely from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. For Mannadipet and Thirubhuvanai (SC), S.K. Senthil Kumar will be available from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and P.M. Senthil Kumar will cover Uppalam and Orleanpet from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Additionally, Krishna Kumar will monitor Lawspet and Kalapet from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., while Sudha Yadav is assigned to Oussudu (SC) and Mangalam, available from 3 p.m. onwards. Finally, Rajendra Prasad will oversee Nettapakkam (SC), and Kartikey Dubey will address concerns for Embalam (SC) and Bahour from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

This initiative aims to uphold the integrity of the electoral process by ensuring transparency and accountability among candidates. The presence of dedicated observers will help mitigate any financial misconduct and reinforce citizen confidence in the democratic process.

The ECI encourages all stakeholders, including candidates and political parties, to utilize this opportunity to clarify any queries regarding expenditure regulations. This proactive approach reflects the commission’s commitment to a fair electoral process, paving the way for a transparent election in Puducherry.

As the elections approach, the involvement of these observers becomes crucial in safeguarding democratic values and upholding the electoral framework. Voters are encouraged to remain informed about the process and to participate actively in the upcoming elections.

For contact details, candidates or interested parties can refer to the specific phone numbers assigned to each observer for inquiries or assistance.
