Bengaluru CEO Anuradha Tiwari Strikes Back Emotionally: ‘Is Brahmin Hate Intentional?’
In a recent social media controversy, Bengaluru-based entrepreneur Anuradha Tiwari has been accused of casteism following a tweet where she proudly showcased her ‘Brahmin genes.’ The tweet, featuring a photo of Tiwari flexing her triceps, was met with significant backlash from netizens who labeled her views as casteist. In response, Tiwari defended herself on social media, stating that the criticism reflected a deeper societal bias against Brahmins.
Taking to the platform X, Tiwari called out what she perceives as widespread anti-Brahmin sentiment, remarking, “Just one harmless tweet, and the so-called social justice crusaders lost their minds. Hate against Brahmins is truly next-level.” She further questioned the intentions behind such critics, asking whether disdain for Brahmins was deliberate and if Brahmins are being used as scapegoats in political battles.
Tiwari also highlighted how thousands have since declared their Brahmin identity online using the hashtag #BrahminGenes, yet noted the lack of political support for the Brahmin community. She expressed frustration over Brahmins facing systemic disadvantages due to reservations and observed that politicians often remain silent on these issues.
Engaging with author Chetan Bhagat on the subject, Tiwari inquired whether the opposition toward Brahmins was really uniting Hindus or fragmenting them further. Her comments have reignited debates on caste, reservation, and Hindu unity, stirring further discussion online.
This incident isn’t Tiwari’s first foray into controversial topics. In an earlier post from August 2022, Tiwari discussed her grievances with India’s reservation system, lamenting how despite excelling academically, she faced institutional barriers due to her general category status.
The original tweet has amassed over 5.8 million views, making it a viral topic of discussion. As conversations around caste and identity continue in India, Tiwari’s remarks have added fuel to an already heated debate.
