An officer stated, “Currently, all 22 have been booked under the same Sections of the BNS. It is only when the chargesheet is prepared that specific charges will be linked to the protesters who were carrying posters or chanting slogans.”
As social tensions simmer, Delhi’s air quality continues to deteriorate, classified as “very poor” on Tuesday. Officials predict little improvement for at least the next three days. In response to this worsening situation, authorities are enforcing measures aimed at reducing air pollution. District Magistrates and Deputy Commissioners of Police are overseeing a directive requiring that 50% of staff in all Delhi government offices work from home. Existing enforcement teams from various agencies have been mobilized to ensure compliance with this work-from-home policy issued by the government.
