A senior Corporation official emphasized that the resolution to relocate the market had been passed unanimously, noting that the authority behind the directive was compromised due to recent resignations within the municipal leadership, including the Mayor and five zone chairpersons.
The official clarified that the vendors had been given ample notice regarding the move and could only remain at their current location if the resolution was officially revoked. In response to the unfolding events, the vendors pledged to present a petition to the Collector during grievance day on Monday, seeking to address their concerns directly.
