SDF’s Bold Move to Fortify Party Presence in Gangtok District
GANGTOK: The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) convened a coordination meeting on Monday to strategize the strengthening of the party in the Gangtok district. The session, chaired by Bijay Pradhan, SDF’s senior vice president in charge of the east district, included participation from key party officials, including Karma Pincho Bhutia, the president of the district working committee.
During the meeting, Sashi Bardewa, the SDF advisor for Gangtok district, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing a new strategy aimed at revitalizing the party’s organizational structure. The primary focus was on enhancing party operations in all constituencies, gathering insights from grassroots communities and middle-class families, and initiating efforts to solidify the party’s objectives for the welfare of the Sikkimese people.
“The SDF is committed to a vision of restoring Sikkim to its former glory, a time characterized by effective governance and community engagement. We are dedicated to collaborating with the people of Sikkim to realize this vision and rebuild the state’s reputation,” the party stated.
The meeting was described as a pivotal step toward achieving the SDF’s goals, underlining the importance of grassroots-level involvement and efficient resource management for the betterment of Sikkim’s citizens. A similar coordination meeting was held by the SDF Gyalshing district committee, chaired by DB Subba, which also focused on organizational enhancement and the commitment of party functionaries to serve the people of Sikkim.
Overall, the SDF’s coordinated efforts reflect its commitment to revitalizing the party’s presence and effectiveness within the community, ensuring that the needs and voices of the Sikkimese people are central to their agenda.
