OnePlus is set to launch its flagship tablet, the OnePlus Pad 2, on October 27 during an event in China. This announcement coincides with the introduction of the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6. The OnePlus Pad 2 is anticipated to be a next-generation flagship device, reportedly a rebranded version of the Oppo Pad 5. Initially, it will debut in China before making its way onto international markets.
The company has teased two color options for the tablet: Azure and Dark Grey. The design is expected to mirror that of the Oppo Pad 5, featuring a pill-shaped camera module and a large display. The tablet is projected to be 5.9mm thick and weigh approximately 579 grams.
In terms of specifications, the OnePlus Pad 2 is expected to sport a 12.1-inch LCD display, potentially offering a 144Hz refresh rate and 3K resolution. It is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus processor, combined with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage options. Users may have three storage configurations to choose from: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage.
The tablet is expected to be equipped with a substantial 10,420mAh battery, which may support 67W fast charging. It might also feature an 8MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. Connectivity options are anticipated to include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB-C port, and GPS.
Currently, the OnePlus Pad 2’s launch is scheduled for China, and details regarding a global release are still pending. There are rumors that the OnePlus 15 will arrive in India in November, suggesting a possible simultaneous launch of the tablet in international markets around that time.
