Transforming Lives: 700 Grateful Souls Unite at Free Medical Camp in Ongole!
Around 700 individuals benefited from a free medical camp organized by the Dr. Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy Vikasit Bharat Trust (Dr. NSKC VBT) at QIS Engineering College in Ongole on Monday, October 13, 2025. Participants from various backgrounds-including drivers, laborers, teachers, and students-accessed essential health services, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and heart-related tests, alongside comprehensive eye check-ups.
The event, a collaboration between Dr. NSKC VBT, KIMS Hospitals, and the National Service Scheme (NSS) Wing of QIS Engineering College, aimed to address healthcare needs in the community. Free medications valued at approximately ₹30,000 were distributed to patients in attendance, reflecting the initiative’s commitment to supporting local health.
Dr. N. Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy, the Andhra Pradesh State BJP Cell Co-Convenor and founder of the organizing trust, emphasized the importance of the camp in light of recent health reforms championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’, focusing on key areas such as education and healthcare,” he stated. Dr. Chakravarthy highlighted his motivation to contribute to society through this medical outreach.
KIMS Hospital representatives announced that they will offer relevant tests at a 50% discount for attendees seeking further medical services. The camp featured prominent medical professionals, including Dr. Ramanjaneyulu, Dr. M. Varshita, and QIS Engineering College Principal Dr. Y.V. Hanumantha Rao, all of whom participated in the event to ensure the smooth delivery of health services.
The medical camp not only provided immediate healthcare support but also raised awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups, fostering a spirit of community involvement and care. As the event concluded, attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive vital health services free of charge and the potential for ongoing support through the collaboration between local educational institutions and healthcare providers.
This initiative speaks to a growing trend in community healthcare efforts in India, demonstrating how partnerships can effectively address public health challenges. With a continued focus on accessible healthcare, programs like this aim to improve health outcomes and enrich community welfare.
