Prime Minister Narendra Modi showcased Arunachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage during his recent visit to Japan by donning the traditional Tukok attire of the Galo tribe. This garment, celebrated for its intricate craftsmanship and cultural significance, drew attention throughout his engagements in Tokyo.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed his gratitude on social media, stating that Modi “has once again made us proud by showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh on the global stage.” He emphasized that this act embodies the spirit of the #VocalForLocal campaign and extended thanks to the Prime Minister on behalf of the people of the state.
In addition to celebrating cultural ties, Modi spoke at the India-Japan Economic Forum, highlighting the growing importance of bilateral economic relations.
