Kai India, a subsidiary of Japan-based Kai Group, has announced a significant investment of 300 million yen (approximately Rs 17.17 crore) to expand its manufacturing facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan. This expansion aims to boost the production capacity of women’s razors by over 5 million units annually.
The move supports Kai India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, enhancing local manufacturing to meet the growing demands from both domestic and international markets. This project is anticipated to be completed within five months, becoming fully operational by the end of December 2024.
Kai India Managing Director, Rajesh U Pandya, emphasized the strategic importance of this expansion, saying it underscores the company’s dedication to delivering high-quality products and responding to robust market growth driven by rising consumer awareness and the focus on personal grooming.
Founded over 115 years ago, Kai Group ventured into the Indian market in 2016, establishing its manufacturing operations at Neemrana. The enhanced production capacity is expected to help Kai India efficiently meet the increasing demand and maintain its competitive edge.
