Transforming Dreams into Reality: ACA President Sivanath Pledges to Build Cricket Grounds in Every District!

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath announced significant developments in cricket within Andhra Pradesh during the 72nd Annual General Body Meeting of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) held in Vijayawada. He emphasized the ACA’s collaboration with the State government to establish cricket grounds across all districts, enhancing grassroots cricket development.

Sivanath revealed that the ACA is currently expanding facilities in Nellore and Kurnool, utilizing its own land for the projects. This initiative aims not only to improve infrastructure but also to spotlight emerging talent. He announced the launch of the Andhra Premier League, designed to provide a platform for skilled cricketers from across the State. “We will ensure that only the best-performing players get to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL),” Sivanath stated, underlining his commitment to nurturing local talent.

This meeting marked Sivanath’s first since taking office as ACA President, and he expressed satisfaction with its success. He reiterated the association’s dual focus on talent identification and resource provision for aspiring players. “The ACA, elected eight months ago, has worked diligently to foster cricket development in the State,” he noted.

Among the notable achievements highlighted by Sivanath was the rapid modernization of the ACA-VDCA International Stadium, completed in just 45 days. The stadium successfully hosted two out of four IPL matches allotted to it and is set to welcome five matches during the Women’s World Cup. However, Sivanath acknowledged the need for further enhancements to local infrastructure: “The Visakhapatnam stadium will be modernized to host more international matches.”

Members of the ACA apex body, representatives from District Cricket Associations, and international players participated in this pivotal meeting, emphasizing the collective effort required to uplift Andhra cricket. With a clear vision for the future, Sivanath remains dedicated to placing Andhra Pradesh on the national cricket map, ensuring that local talents receive the recognition and opportunities they deserve.
