Pant’s first offense in the 2025 IPL season for slow over rates was during a match against Mumbai Indians on April 5, where he was fined ₹12 lakh. He repeated the same mistake again on April 27 in another match against the same team, incurring a fine of ₹24 lakh. With the latest penalty from the May 27 match, his cumulative fine for slow over rates has now reached ₹66 lakh.
