Tripura Chief Minister Emphasises Prompt Completion of Vital Projects, Avoids Further Suffering for Citizens
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha called for expedited execution of pending projects, underscoring the importance of timely completion to minimize disruptions to people’s lives. The appeal was made during a comprehensive review meeting held on April 13 at Manu Government Dak Bungalow, where officials from various departments presented updates on ongoing projects and achievements.
The meeting, which focused on key sectors such as public works, drinking water and sanitation, rural development, power, education, health, and forest, aimed to assess progress in the Dhalai district. Saha emphasized the need for development initiatives to reach the grassroots efficiently, deeming delays unacceptable when people’s lives are directly impacted. He directed state departments to expedite remaining works while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
The gathering, attended by officials including Dhalai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Sushmita Das, MLA Shambhu Lal Chakma, MDCS Sanjay Das, and District Magistrate Saju Wahid A, among others, was a platform for departments to share their achievements and challenges. The review meeting aimed to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, keeping in mind the critical role they play in improving the lives of citizens.
Chief Minister Saha also inaugurated the 51st State-Level Biju Mela in the Dhalai district on Sunday, a five-day celebration of the traditional New Year’s festival of the Chakma community. The event, which opened on April 13 and will conclude on April 17, featured traditional rituals, cultural performances, and dignitaries from the Chakma and local communities. In his inaugural address, Saha highlighted the significance of the Biju Mela in promoting cultural unity and preserving traditions, encouraging participation from all communities to foster harmony and mutual respect.
The Chief Minister’s emphasis on expediting pending projects and inaugurating cultural events underscores his commitment to improving the lives of Tripura’s citizens.
