Assam Students Receive Their 2025 HSLC Exam Results
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has announced the 2025 Class 10 High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam results, making the records accessible online on the official websites – asseb.in, sebaonline.org, and assamresult.in. The results release was shared publicly at 10:15 am, and students can now access their marks by 10:30 am. This year, 4,22,737 students took the exams, with 1,87,752 male students and 2,34,985 female students appearing for the HSLC exams.
The Class 10 theory examinations took place from February 15 to March 3, while practical exams were conducted on January 21 and 22. A total of 2,70,471 students successfully passed the exams. According to recent data, the top performers in the 2025 Class 10 HSLC examination have been announced by the Assam Board. Among the top three rank holders, Amishi Saikia from Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School district Jorhat secured the top spot with 591 marks out of 600 and a remarkable percentage of 98.50%. Notably, 98.33% and 98.17% marks were achieved by Saptarswa Bordoloi from Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati district Kamrup (Metro), and Anirban Borgohain from Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat, respectively.
In terms of pass percentages, male students showed a passing percentage of 67.59%, while female students achieved a pass percentage of 61.09%. In addition, data indicates the performance of different groups of students is as follows – General Category (62.45%), OBC (69.64%), MOBC (70.78%), SC (58.56%), ST (Plains) (71.32%), ST (Hills) (65.86%), and the Tea Tribe Community (51.89%). Unfortunately, Sribhumi district had the lowest pass rate of 47.96%.
The districts of Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, and Dhemaji excelled in their performance, boasting pass percentages of 85.55%, 81.10%, and 80.64%, respectively. In comparison to the previous year’s results, the 2025 Class 10 HSLC pass percentage has decreased slightly. The pass percentage in 2024 was 75.7%, with male students securing a pass percentage of 77.3% and female students achieving a pass percentage of 74.4%. The top scorers in the 2024 cycle were Anurag Doloi, Jharna Saikia, Manash Pratim Saikia, Bedanta Chaudhary, and Devashree Kashyap, all gaining 588 marks.
The story around Assam’s 2025 HSLC results shows a mixed bag of performances, from high-scoring districts to the struggling Sribhumi district. The Board’s assessment indicates considerable areas of improvement for the 2026 cycle.
