Meghalaya Students Celebrate as MBOSE Announces SSLC Results with 87.10% Pass Percentage
The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has declared the results of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination, 2025, with an impressive overall pass percentage of 87.10%. Students who appeared for the exams can now check their results on the official website, mbose.in, and also directly visit the Meghalaya board result page at megresults.nic.in. The examinations were conducted by MBOSE from February 10 to 25, 2025, with a total of 63,682 students taking part.
This year’s results show a strong performance across many districts, with several regions recording marked improvement. According to the data, West Jaintia Hills emerged as the top-performing district with a pass percentage of 96.03%, followed closely by Eastern West Khasi Hills at 95.54% and South West Khasi Hills at 94.93%. East Khasi Hills also posted a commendable 92.54% pass rate, while East Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills recorded 92.40% and 90.50% respectively.
In the Garo Hills region, South Garo Hills led the way with an impressive 88.32% pass percentage, followed by West Garo Hills at 80.50% and East Garo Hills at 80.31%. North Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills registered pass percentages of 75.76% and 74.77% respectively. Ri Bhoi district also performed strongly, with 89.33% of candidates passing the exam.
The results reflect a consistent improvement in academic performance across many districts, with several regions showing marked growth in recent years. The Meghalaya Board of School Education has achieved this milestone amidst various challenges, and students, parents, and educational institutions can take pride in this achievement.
