Highlighting improvements, Pradhan mentioned a 78% increase in higher education funding since 2013-14. The count of higher education institutions has surged, with universities rising from 760 in 2014-15 to 1,168 today. He also noted progress in tribal education through the PM JANMAN scheme, aimed at providing quality education to primitive tribes. Under this scheme, 500 hostels are planned, with construction commencing on 119 already. Additionally, the government is promoting Indian Sign Language and increasing female representation in educational roles, including the appointment of a woman Vice-Chancellor at Aligarh Muslim University.
