Electrifying Victory: Ateez’s ‘Golden Hour’ Dominates Billboard’s World Albums Chart as Kpop Titans Twice’s Nayeon and Seventeen Reign Supreme
ATEEZ Dominates Billboard’s World Albums Chart, Leading Non-Big 4 K-pop Acts
ATEEZ made a remarkable impact on Billboard’s World Albums chart for the week ending July 6, with their mini-album “Golden Hour: Part 1” securing the No. 1 spot. This achievement marks the octet’s fourth week at the top, underscoring their dominance among the global charts. Notably, ATEEZ stands out as the only K-pop group from outside the Big 4 entertainment companies (HYBE, SM, JYP, and YG) to achieve such high rankings.
Additionally, TWICE’s Nayeon saw success with her latest solo mini-album “NA,” although it slipped to the No. 2 spot after debuting at the top the previous week. Nayeon’s album also charted on the Billboard 200, marking her as the first female K-pop soloist to lead the charts with two different albums for multiple weeks.
HYBE Labels also saw strong performances from its roster. Tomorrow X Together’s “Minisode 3: Tomorrow” held steady at No. 5 for its 13th week, while SEVENTEEN’s “17 Is Right Here” ranked at No. 7 for its ninth week. Other notable HYBE acts included rookie girl group ILLIT at No. 8 with “Super Real Me,” BTS Jimin at No. 9 with “FACE,” BTS at No. 10 with “PROOF,” NewJeans at No. 12 with “Get Up,” and ENHYPEN at No. 14 with “Orange Blood.”
SM Entertainment’s aespa and JYP Entertainment’s Stray Kids also made the list. Aespa’s “Armageddon” ranked at No. 13, while Stray Kids’ “Rock-Star” finished at No. 15.
This week’s chart highlights the growing diversity and global appeal of K-pop, with both newcomers and established acts making significant strides. For more updates, follow Hindustan Times for the latest in entertainment news.
