Maharashtra Government Approves Funds for Temple Pilgrimage Development in Washim District
In a move to boost tourism and economic growth in the region, the Maharashtra government has approved a whopping 170 crore rupees for the development of the Guru Temple pilgrimage site in Karanja city of Washim district. This decision was made at a committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, where various plans for the pilgrimage sites across the state were reviewed.
According to sources, the committee also cleared a separate plan, worth 723 crore rupees, for the Shri Sant Sewalal Maharaj Pohradevi Pilgrimage Development Plan. The meeting, held at Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai, saw the Rural Development and Tourism Department being tasked with revising their regulations for works related to the pilgrimage development plan, keeping in mind the importance of the region in the state.
Speaking on the matter, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized the need to prioritize the development of these pilgrimage sites, which attract significant numbers of tourists and devotees every year. “The Rural Development and Tourism Department should revise its regulations to ensure the projects are implemented smoothly and efficiently,” he said, highlighting the importance of the region in the state.
The approval of these funds is expected to generate significant economic activity in the region, creating new job opportunities and boosting local businesses. The development of the pilgrimage sites will also help to promote cultural heritage and preserve the region’s rich history and traditions. As the state government’s efforts to revitalize the tourism industry continue, these initiatives are likely to have a positive impact on the local economy and attract more visitors to the region.
The Maharashtra government’s decision to invest in the development of these pilgrimage sites is seen as a strategic move to promote regional growth and development, while also preserving the state’s cultural heritage. As the state continues to grow and evolve, initiatives like these will play a crucial role in shaping its future and promoting its unique cultural identity.
