Assam Medical College Tops National Rankings Again: Wins ‘Best Performing College in Medical Research’ for Second Consecutive Year
Dibrugarh, Assam – In a proud moment for the state, Assam Medical College (AMC) has been recognized as the best performing college in medical research for the second consecutive year, under the ‘Medical College Research Connect’ initiative. The feted institution was honored at a ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Prof. Dr. V.K. Paul, Hon. Member (Health), NITI Aayog, Dr. B.N. Gangadhar, Chairman, National Medical Commission, and Dr. V.M. Katoch, Secretary, DHR & DG, ICMR, presented the award to Prof. Sanjeeb Kakati, Principal, and Prof. Reema Nath, Vice Principal, Assam Medical College.
The news was also greeted with congratulations from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who took to social media to laud the institution’s achievement. “We continue to encourage high-quality research in our medical colleges to provide better and effective medical facilities for our patients,” he stated in his post.
