Oppo’s Breakthrough Début: F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G Launch in India, Revolutionizing the Future of Smartphones

Hyderbad, India – Oppo has officially entered the competitive mid-range smartphone market with the launch of its latest offerings, the Oppo F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G. These phones are designed to challenge the likes of Realme, Redmi, Motorola, and OnePlus, boasting impressive features such as Full HD+ AMOLED screens, 120Hz refresh rates, and IP69-level durability.

The Oppo F29 5G comes in two variants, with the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model priced at Rs 23,999 and the 8GB + 256GB option priced at Rs 25,999. The F29 Pro 5G, on the other hand, is available in three variants, with prices starting at Rs 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, Rs 29,999 for the 8GB + 256GB option, and Rs 31,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The new phones can be pre-booked, with sales set to commence on March 27 for the F29 5G and April 1 for the Pro model.

Both devices feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1200 nits, ensuring crystal-clear visuals even in bright sunlight. The F29 Pro 5G is fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chip, while the F29 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. They run on ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15, with Oppo committing to two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.

In terms of cameras, the F29 Pro 5G boasts a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a 2MP depth sensor, while the F29 5G features the same 50MP sensor without OIS. Both devices come with a 16MP selfie camera. The F29 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support, whereas the F29 5G has a 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging support. The new phones will be available on major e-commerce platforms, including Flipkart, Amazon, and Oppo’s e-store.
